Angela Evelyn Bassett, an American actress, is known for her performance in films and television since the late 1980s. She has received various honors, such as the Golden Globe Award as well as sixteen NAACP Image Award. She is known for her roles in film and television from the mid-80s onwards, she's won numerous awards such as two Golden Globe Awards and sixteen NAACP Image Awards in addition to nominations for two Academy Awards and seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett was raised by her aunt in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She was born and raised at home in New York New York. Bassett relocated with her twin sister in St. Petersburg Florida at the age of five so that they could be near their mom, who was separated from her father. Bassett, while in high-school was a fan of John Steinbeck's stage play Of Mice and Men with James Earl Jones and she decided to become an actress. In 1980, Bassett completed her studies at Yale University New Haven Connecticut with the degree of African American studies. She was also awarded a degree by the Yale School of Drama. Courtney B. Vance met her at Yale, and in 1997 they tied the knot. Qualification: B.A. Degree in African-American Studies in 1980. Master in Fine Arts degree from the Yale School of Drama School: Jordan Park Elementary School Disston Middle School (seventh grade) Azalea Middle School (eighth and ninth grades) Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett plays Ramonda as one of the major roles in action adventure film i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
